Villa delle Rocce
Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Corsican mountains, Villa delle Rocce stands as an architectural statement where local stone meets glass transparency and the warmth of wood. Blending Mediterranean authenticity with contemporary design, it embodies an architecture deeply rooted in its territory while opening itself to the future.
A mineral language
The villa’s façades, built with Corsican stone, evoke the strength of the island’s landscapes and its traditional craftsmanship. The volumes, both sober and contemporary, open generously with wide glass panes that frame spectacular views of the sea and surrounding reliefs.
A Mediterranean art of living
Every space is designed as an immersion into the landscape:
An outdoor bar under a wooden canopy, where lighting enhances the raw beauty of the stone.
Vast reception areas bathed in natural light, where double heights highlight the monumentality of the walls.
An indoor pool beneath a glass roof, flooded with daylight, where the water reflects the structure and creates an atmosphere that is both soothing and dramatic.
Panoramic bedrooms and bathrooms, opening directly onto the horizon and the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation.
The alliance of materials
The project is structured around three key materials:
Corsican stone, anchoring the villa in its landscape and heritage.
Wood, bringing warmth and artisanal elegance.
Glass, erasing boundaries and ensuring fluidity between spaces.
This subtle combination creates a refined atmosphere, balanced between mineral strength and contemporary lightness.
An experience of light
By day, Mediterranean light pours through the glass roofs and across the stone surfaces, revealing their textures and warm hues. At night, discreet and delicate lighting transforms the villa into a mineral lantern, set between sea and mountain, celebrating the Corsican art of living in its purest intensity.
